Once upon a time, the sun and moon argued about who would light up the sky. They fought, as anthropomorphic celestial bodies are meant to do, but after the moon proves to be as strong as the sun, they decide to take shifts. The sun would brighten the day, while the moon would illuminate the night.

This concept project from Prowess the Testament aspires to deliver an aviation-inspired aesthetic that conjures up themes of celestial bodies and sexual empowerment underscored by percussive boom bap compositions. 5KYGODD seamlessly integrates explorations of sexual identity, embracing the desirability of aerobatic storytelling. All accomplished in creative consult with co-pilot, Richard Patterson (The Unown) who provides the cinematic soundscapes and digital sound editing to bring the concept to FLIGHT.

"My intention for the project was to create a body of work that would give a voice to our deepest sensual desires all while paying homage to classic boom bap archetypes. This project brings to the forefront the narratives that make us uncomfortable and forces us to challenge traditional ideologies about sex and sensuality. It’s important to me to show that beauty and desire are cherished parts of our identity. With this project, I celebrate themes of flight--the practice of which requires us relinquish control all the while challenging nature's most fundamental source, gravity.
